A faithfully reproduced Sampler. From Beth: When I tried to find Perry Pryor through online genealogical research, I was unable to confirm the exact person. What I did find strongly suggests that our stitcher was a boy; a rare, but not unknown occurrence in the world of samplers. At the time, Perry was a given name, as well as a nickname, in almost all cases, for a boy; I am going to assume that our stitcher was a boy as well.
