From Paulette "This little Yuletide design can be finished as a pincushion or an ornament. The little colonial woman is holding a pineapple, which is a symbol of hospitality. Inside the chart is a portion of a poem by E.E. Cummings that inspired the design: "Little tree, little silent Christmas tree... I will comfort you because you smell so sweetly..." My original idea was for this to be a sweet gift for a friend visiting for the holidays or attached to a welcome wreath."
