The lovely birds in Flights of Fancy were part of a large antique sampler which was  purchased this past year. The sampler is Italian and was stitched in the early 1800’s on a  #40 linen in silk.

Finished beautifully as a pillow, Hetty's colorful sampler was originally on perforated paper in wools.
