Sajou Gilded Eiffel Tower Blue Embroidery Scissors

This gilded pair of Eiffel Tower embroidery scissors is a reissue of a model dating from the late 19th century. The Eiffel Tower was built for the 1889 Universal Exhibition, during which Jacques-Simon Sajou was awarded a silver medal. Note the delicate latticework simulating the Tower’s metal framework, the quality of the screw, and the precision of the finely pointed blades. 

You will notice the detail of the grid pattern simulating the metallic girders of the Tower.... as well as the quality of the screw. The blades are very pointed for precision work.

This pair of scissors comes with a decorative pom pom and a light blue Eiffel Tower charm, made especially for this model.

An important detail enables us to judge the quality of a pair of scissors; the pairing marks - the number which you can see on the interior of each of the blades (you will notice the number "96" on the photos presented here). This indicates that the two blades have been perfectly adjusted to form a pair.
