Brenda overdyed some of the DMC floss to give them a more time-worn look - these have an * next to them and is an optional step and Brenda has provided instructions on how to do this if you choose.

NB: There is a very small amount of over one stitching, just two birds. The verse and all other motifs are worked over two linen threads. The only specialty stitch is the Lazy Daisy Stitch.
